Marketing email builder - adding web articles in dynamically for email builders

Hi, I have a requirement from our email building team who work on Customer Insights - Journeys. The requirement is as follows:
  • We have multiple websites which post web articles for visitors to read.
  • We want to use these email articles/ snippets of these email articles in Dynamics marketing emails to email our segments
  • We want an automated/ easy method for our email builder team to "drag and drop" or select the articles as they are posted into the emails themselves before adding the email to a journey.
Any steer on how this could be feasible/ technically possible to prevent our email builder team from manually recreating each web article would be greatly appreciated. I am fairly certain this will require some integration of some sort with our sites.
I have the same question (0)

Hi. I did something with my blog RSS Feed where I wanted to automate sending out emails for new blog posts.

So yes you could do something to get the content from your posts on your site using power automate. From your requirements it sounds like you want new posts to be content blocks so someone could pick from them to add to an email before they send it.

It might be possible to do that using PA but you might have to pass through the html of how you want it formatted. I'll give it some thought as this could be a good new blog post if I can get it working!

@JG-20111623-0 - I did a quick test. Yes, you can create one via Power Automate, and there are required fields specifically for the HTML. So suggest the following:
    • Create a dummy content block with the look and feel you want to use when there is a new article. You can use the HTML from that as your template
    • Find the RSS feed for your website(s) for when a new blog/article is posted
    • Follow along with the link to the post I shared above, and trigger a flow based on a new post in the feed
    • Add a new row using the Dataverse connector and pick Content blocs (msdynmkt_fragment), there are a couple named the same thing so use Peek code to make sure you picked the right table
    • Then add in the content you want used in that block and add the HTML but fill in the parts dynamically from the RSS feed trigger step in the flow
    • You can set the content blocks to be Draft (meaning no one sees them to use until they have been verified) or Ready to Use (meaning they can be accessed right away
    • You might then want some kind of clean up process to deactivate the Content Blocks after a while when the content would be considered 'old'. If you have used them you wouldn't be able to delete them, so deactivating is your best bet as it means people can't use them in emails after that point
    Hope this all helps you!
