Is it possible to add the signup form at the home page of customer portal ?

Hi,

I'm working on dynamics 365 customer portal and i want to add the signup form on the main page (Home page) of my portal. I will be thankful for help.

Hi Muhammad,

You could embed code below into your portal home template.

It'll import sign in page as iframe element, then read and copy sign in form HTML elements and paste them into custom div.

You could all of them at top position of Home web template source code.

Result 1:

If visitor is anonymous status, then the form will display.

Result 2:

If visitor signed in, the form'll be hidden.(please notice that after signed in, visitor will still be navigated to their profile page.)

I suggest you could still keep default sign in link in header navigation menu, because "Sign out" is also bounded with that element.

Thank you Clofiy. I was expecting like Endorse Snippets content on home page can we do that ??

Hi Mahammad,

Could you let me know what "Endorse Snippets" means for?

I have tried to do it from content snippet aspect, however, I met following troubles:

1. I didn't find web page which could associated to sign in page.(no web page record which its partial URL field called "sign in")

2. I only found method to modify sign in page.

It will change sign page with custom javascript/HTML, but it couldn't copy original sign in form content.

(When I copied cutom content snippet to Home page, it only shown custom contents.)

So I think my method would work for your requirement, sign in and log out all works well. :)

I mean if i can render the login form by add the "Account/SignIn/PageCopy" snippets on home page.

Thanks for your feedback.

I have tried to do with the content snippert, but it seems that "Account/SignIn/PageCopy" snippet could only perform customization on sign in page.

Please check my test result:

1. I tried to clone the login form and append it to custom div element.

2. I copied it on Home web page.

3. No login form element is found when debugging on Home page.

While it's only available in login page:

So it could be said that the snippet would just work as an embbed HTML file on Sign in/Login page,

but the snippet couldn't be used to represent Sign in page itself, thus the login form couldn't be rendered by add the snippet.
