Working on the blanket purchase order document (word version). We would like to change the date format on a couple of the displayed date fields but cannot seem to change the properties. Is this possible within the word document itself or does this have to be done with a customization (extension) of the document?

Have a look at rdlc instead of word as you can use functions to convert data. Otherwise you have to do a custom report and prepare it in the required format before it hits the word layout.
