I have a laptop with Office 2010 32 bit and CRM Out look installed.  When I try to open CRM in Outlook I get an error Cannot display the folder.  Path does not exist.  Verify the path is correct?

Have no clue.

    I'm seeing the same thing on a 64-bit Windows 7 client. In my case the 32-bit CRM Outlook client was first installed on a 32-bit Windows 7 system. Now they are moving to a 64-bit system with 32-bit Office, so the 32-bit CRM Outlook client was installed. The Outlook COM Add-in for CRM correctly points to the Program Files (x86) folder, but I am wondering if something is still looking in Program FIles and not finding what it needs. Has anyone encountered this?

    I had the same situation where the office edition was moved from 32 to 64 bit. I fixed this by making sure the paths in the registry where set to the 64-bit locations.

    HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\MSCRMClient

    CRM_Client_InstallDir = C:\Program Files\Microsoft Dynamics CRM\

    InstallPath = C:\Program Files\Microsoft Dynamics CRM\Client\

    I then ran a repair on the CRM 2011 Outlook, re-ran the Configuration program and then opened Outlook and it worked

    Yes, it is registry related. I don't remember the key now, but in my case the path to the local database was incorrect. It was still pointing to the 32-bit system. If you start with a new profile for the user then this will not be a problem, but if you migrate an existing profile from a 32-bit system to 64-bit system then you may encounter the problem.

    Thanks Andrew.

    Andrew, fyi,  all I had to do was change the registry keys and start Outlook.  It was that simple.

    Thanks for the info.

    Thanks Andrew - I also moved from 32 bit to 64 bit and this solved my problem
