    yes Sql Server 2008 R2 installed in my computer and i restor a database in sql

    but when i wanna to create a new database in navision the error "failure to connect to SQL Server PC-Ghaith" up

    When you connect to SQL Server from management studio, what is the server name you specified? did you say local instance can you type the same name above and connect to it

    I hope you mean , database server. try with Windows Authentication.
