Active X error message on Axapta 3

Hi,

We have an error message when we want to see the Notes on DocuView form.

"Unable to create an ActiveX control

Microsoft Web Browser

(ID class : { 8856F961-340A-11D0-A96B-00C04FD705A2})

not found on system , verify if this control is correctly installed."

The disturbing thing is that this error message appear with only 1 user (on 80) on every machine he could use, but the other users are not affected. Plus, this is a random bug and does not appear everytime.

Have you ever seen this before ? Do you have an idea to fix it ?

Thanks for your answers.

    Hi Raphael

Since you say, the affected user can raise that error on different machines it seems to be a problem with the user registry. I know, ActiveX registration and information is stored in localmachine, but may be it make sense to compare a working user profile's currentuser with the not working user profile's currentuser. Search for the class ID to check if for the affected user there's something missing.

     Best regards

    Thanks for your anwser Patrick.

I've deleted the local profile on the machine and the roaming profile on the active directory server, but the bug appear again.

There is no difference between the bugged profile and a good profile, so I have no more solution to fix that.

Just one more idea; security policy which prevent's the browser to load (specific) ActiveX?

I know, that could be going off of track, but that's the only thing I could imagine.

    Regards
