Deleting Sales Orders Where No Invoice is Required

Hello,

We have a large number of Sales Orders raised for the issue of Free of Charge goods so they don't require an invoice, however when trying to delete the Sales Order after they have been shipped we get this error:

Is there a process in which these orders can be completed/deleted without needing an invoice?

Hi GazzR,

It is not possible to delete the lines when there are quantities delivered and no invoice is posted. You can consider posting zero invoices for these free of charge deliveries.

Once an item on a sales order is shipped, the sales order can't be deleted. An order can't be deleted if any lines on it have been invoiced. The solution is to invoice the items with a price of 0. Or leave the price as it typically is, and add a discount for 100% and post the invoice that way. Either way, an invoice must be posted with a 0 amount, and then the sales order can be deleted.

All shipped lines need to be invoiced. If it is free of charge, you can set the unit price as 0 or use a 100% discount.
