Hello,
I have new field to SalesLine table, which access I want to control with permission.
Users with the permission should be able to see and update the field (NoYes).
I created the privilege and added the SalesLine table and the mentioned field.
Do I need to set "Date Effective Access"? I did not find much information about them.
Also, should Access level for the table and field be "Update"?

Hi Johnny,
You only have to use the Access Level property in your requirement. The field access should be update. You can try to have the table as Unset. Then it should look at the other privileges in the role to get the correct table access.
The date effective access is intended for date effective tables and you want to restrict users from modifying past records.
