Hi:

In both a live and test company, we're seeing a strange label for "State" in both the Customer Card and Sales Invoice windows.

Below is a screenshot of this label.

How can we change this label to display "State"?

Thanks!

John

You can control the behavior of local addresses in the General ledger setup in the field local address format. You have some options to pick from.

If you have foreign customers and vendors you can also control country specific address formats in the country table.

Hi, the caption of "State" (County Name) is controlled by County Name in Countries/Regions.

Maybe someone entered something weird, please check.

    Hope this will help.

    Thanks.

But, I do not see the "County Name" column in Countries/Regions -- only "State Name".  And, for US, this column correctly displays the term "State".

In fact, for US, none of the drop-down lists for address formatting reference the term "County".

    Hello,

County field only exists in some country localizations.

    Thanks.

    Here is the solution.

In the address section of the customer card, you have to choose the country in the Country drop-down field.  Once you do this, then either "State" or "Province" will appear for that label, instead of "5,1........".

    John,

It was found to be a bug by Microsoft. The last update was a fix was coming end of January 2022.

    Thanks,

    Steve
