Warehouse App and WMDP - Difference on Dynamics 365

Hi All,

i hope someone can bring light in to the dark here.

As far as i understand, for Warehousing with Dynamics 365. i can either deploy a WMDP similar to as it used to work in Dynamics 2012

on the other Hand i could download the App from Microsoft or Android.

When i deploy the WMDP on an IIS, am i STILL able to view the Portal on my Mobile Scanner with Windows CE on the Internet Explorer?

I simply will not accept, Microsoft is forcing every Warehouse worker in the World to use Windows 10/ Android Scanner??!!

    Hi Ruben,

    The WMDP has been depreciated as of platform update 8. Have a look at the documentation: docs.microsoft.com/.../deprecated-features.

    The new app is the one you need to use.

    Windows CE goes end of life in June 2018. Looks like Windows 10 IoT or Android is the future, unless MS release an iOS version too.
