Extender Detail Window issue

Hello everyone,

I am creating a Extender Detail Window attached to the customer inquiery GP window. The key field is Customer Number.

The first column of the Extender Detail Windows is a lookup to the Item Master. This lookup is built into Extender.

The issue is: we would like to see the item description next to the selected item number.

It seems something really simple to do but so far it has been impossible for us to do this simple task.

Does anyone know how to show the item description right next to the item number?

We tried using a calculated field but it wont work either (shows nothing all the time)

I appreciate your help on this matter,

     Ignacio,

     

    1.Create Lookup field for Item number( It is u already done.)

    2.Create one "Calculated Filed" with name Description(or anything)

    3. In the Edit calculated Filed window, select Filed Type is "Long String"

    4.In that window Right side, "Item Number" node is available(It is Item number lookup). Expand that window and double click the "Item Description".

    5.Close the window. And save extender.

    Now If you select Item number then Item Description will automatically come.

     Thanks so much for your answer!

    Unfortunately, I did just what you are advicing to do and it did not work. When I select any item using the lookup, the "description" field remains blank all the time. At this point I wonder if my Extender database is corrupted or damaged.

    I also ran the Extender utilites and I got no errors.

    The version of Dynamics GP is 10.0.324.0 and Extender is 10.00.0081

     If you have any other idea I would appreciate. It seems like Extender is not a reliable tool.

    I have tested in my environment ie is working fine. I have no idea why it not working you. Better you can Logout and Login to the GP and refresh the extender window cache.
