Why is the contacts view different for me on the new UI?

Hello,

We have a section on our accounts form which shows the contacts for the specific account and I have noticed that my view is different from all the other users in my company. I can't seem to figure out how to change theirs to the same one as I have.

I see them like this...

Everyone else seems them like this...

I have made the security roles of one of my colleagues exactly the same as mine in case it was that but it hasn't changed for him. Also the 'Allow users to change view' is not selected within the form settings.

Many thanks for your help in advance.

    Hi Kamil,

You would need to configure an additional "Read Only Grid" control, like this:

    Hi Henry,

Thanks for that. I see now that if Im on 110% it's a list but if I reduce the page to 100% it goes to a grid view.

I can see that the sub grid control is already set to read-only by default. Do you know how I make it stay on the list view whatever the page size is?

    Thanks

    Hello,

I believe this is related to responsive design and the reflow behavior that subgrids have enabled by default.
When you reduce the size of the window, the subgrid goes from a "grid" display (i.e. a regular column view, the one your colleagues see) to a "list" view (with the icons and first 3 columns).
You can force the behavior one way or the other by adding the "read only grid" control on the subgrid.

    Henry
