Restrict Regarding field of an activity to one particular entity.

Hi All,

How can i restrict a custom activity type entity's regarding field to a specific entity

for example i have one custom entity Center , and one activity type entity Incident.

Now requirement is when i select value for regarding field on Incident entity it should only display Center records.

    Yes, you can restrict the regarding field to show the particular entity records.

    Generally, Regarding field shows the results for all the entities like Accounts, contacts, lead,User, etc. and depending on the entity selected in “Look for” in Lookup More result window.

    So you just need to set "Look For" for the lookup field.

    Regarding field will auto populate all those entities which support "Activities", which is set while creating the entity and cannot be reversed

    So only option is to add a pre search filter

    Refer restrict-customer-lookup-to-accounts-or-contacts-in-dynamics-crm for supported way to filter in "customer" type a field. check if it works for regarding field as well
