Word templates - Using VB Scripts

Hi,

Using word templates, I am creating a printable doc for invoice.

My problem is I need couple of things done, such as changing the date format, removing currency symbols from line items and also printing the total amount in words.

All of above could easily be done using ms word macros and vb script, but when I add them to word template, I have to save it as .docm instead of .docx , and .docm is not supported when I'm uploading the template.

Is there any workaround for this problem? I am using an OnPrem installation , and can edit Database or ... if needed.

Also since this is an important requirement for our customer, the solution being un-supported is not a much problem.

I am using 365 v8.2.1

Thanks in advance
