Unable to delete email attachments !

Hi All,

I am system admin in the org and trying to delete email attachments to clear the space (Only email attachments and not emails). I am performing below 4 steps and ending up with no result.

Any suggestions please ?

Step1: Running advanced find to get all emails with attachments greater than 2500 bytes.

Step 2: Fom the result open one email.

Step 3: Go to attachment section and clicks on Trash icon , but nothing happens. Screen flickers and the document still remains the same.

Step 4: Click on the attachment and then click on Remove. Even then nothing happens apart from screen flickering. (When we try opening the attachments they open without any issues)

Please verify that the eMail is in DRAFT mode.

Hi Karsten,

All of these email status is 'Received'. Do you want us to change the status of each of them to 'Draft' and then go for deleting attachments ?

Hi,

in order to delete anything pointing to a closed activity(emailt, appointment,...). You will need to reopen them again. As you probably saw, there is no button to reactivate an activity.

You will need either to dot with the help of Scribe or SSIS+Kingswaysoft.
