Hi,

I have a client who has Dynamics CRM 365 (Online) and want to integrated his email with any 3rd party SMTP server. Their requirement is to send around 1000 emails per month.

Do you know any best SMTP server available in the market.

Thanks,

Arvinder..

    Hi All,

    Thanks for your replies.

I have created a service using SMTP server and schedule the job. Yes, in this case I am not able to create email activity but I have created custom activity to keep a log.

    Thanks

I think that is most likely your best bet to generate the Dynamics PDF, especially since you are on CRM Online, and referencing third part assemblies is a problem.

The question is, whether the sending of the emails is on demand or you can preschedule it.

If you need to do it based on an action in CRM, you can probably create an Azure API that get's called, generated the pdf, adds it as an attachment to CRM email, and sends it.

If not, it can be a standard console application running on a local server machine.

    Hope this helps.

    Hi Aric,

    Thanks for your reply.

Actually, my requirement is to attach dynamic PDF with all email and PowerObject don't support attachment of any file with the email.

Now, I am creating  .Net application to manage the requirement.

    Thanks

    Hi Arv,

probably the best solution is those proposed by Aric.

If you want to use an external provider you could think about MailChimp with an external connector like this:

    https://www.powerobjects.com/powerpacks/powermailchimp/

    Hope it helps.

Why not use Exchange Online with Server Side Sync?

They do not need to have a mailbox for every Exchange User, but even if they do, the cost should be minimal (just for Exchange) if that is a concern.

I see that you put in your subject email router, but the email router has been deprecated from Dynamics 365, and will be removed most likely in the next upcoming release.

Also, you can use Dynamics 365 with Server Side Sync and SMTP server, however, at present per Microsoft Documentation, the only tested SMTP servers were GMAIL and Yahoo Mail.

If you client requirements are only for around 1000 emails per month, there shouldn't be any worries from the Dynamics 365 side regarding ability to handle this.

    Hope this helps.
