Goals based on Phone Calls and Activities - combine

I am building out some Goal functionality and need to have a total count of activities that are either phone calls or activities. How can I build a parent goal that groups total completed activities and phone calls (i.e., for a user)? Do I have to add a custom field or a lookup field on the phone call entity and activities entity and then use that field to group these? Not sure how to design this out, looking for help.

    The issue is that I can't setup goal metrics against the activity entity unless I'm missing something. It's not in the list of entities available to create goal metrics, so I have to create them on the phone call and activity entities....Thoughts?

    Hi,

    Thank you for your query.

    Please note, Activity is a general category. When you say you need to count phone calls and activities, it gets confusing. You can count based on all activities or specific activity types.

    You can define the rollup query based on following:

    • Owner of the activity. You do not need to add custom user lookup. I guess you cannot count the activities based on From field. You have to use the Owner field.
    • Add filter criteria on Activity Type. Choose the type of activities (Phone Call, Task, etc.) for which you need to count.
