When completeing a Manufacturing order we appear to have GL accounts missing.
What is the best way to determine what items are missing the accounts and what account is missing?
It is not on all items..just some...

Can you please elaborate on the point of "outsourced" items ? After all, they are items configured on the item maintenance window and are linked to accounts on the item account maintenance window, right ?
If so, you can use the script above to compare against with "All the inventory items".

Our issue is specific to the manufacturing process...and not all items.

I have previously worked on a query which brings all the posting accounts configured on the different master entities in Dynamics GP (Items, Customers, Vendors and checkbooks) . In addition, posting account configured on the setup level (like the posting accounts window) are considered. You may consider part of the results retrieved by this query to check the accounts linked on the item level - item costing accounts as well as the ones configured on the setup.
The second step is to compare these accounts either on excel (with a simple Vlookup function) or in SQL in order to do the comparison between your posting accounts and the inventory items.
