Fixed Assets Import Error

Hi,

I am receiving the following error when I am importing Fixed Assets :

Microsoft.Dynamics.GP.eConnect: Number = 3242 Stored Procedure taCreateAssetID : Description = The Custodian ID - CUSTODIAN - passed does not currently exist in UPR00100 table

I am not using the Payroll module, but I imported the Custodians into the UPR00100 table with the Custodian name as the Employee ID.  However, I am still getting the same error.  Can anyone help ?

    Hi Tracy,

    We started using the FA module last year, but I don't recall how we imported the bulk of our first batch of assets... Let me check with our controller on Monday.

    That sounds weird that it would make use of a payroll field...

    If you have elected to use the employee ID as the custodian, then the employee ID must already exist when you import the custodian because it is a validated field. Importing the custodian must be done AFTER the record has been created in the UPR00100. You still have the employee card even though you may not be using payroll. Make sure you have the payroll module turned 'off' if you do not intend to use it. How did you go about importing the custodians into the UPR00100 table? Did you use Integration Manager or did you just do a direct table import into the table? Did you run Check Links on the Payables Master after your import?
