BP-Timesheets internet explorer cannot display the webpage

i have one user that is getting an error when she tries to save a timesheet in business portal.  The error is "internet explorer cannot display the webpage".  She does have 14 projects on the timesheet but I ran a test with all the same projects on my timesheet and it saved fine.   I have reinstalled the business portal activex plugin.  I logged on to her computer and was able to save a timesheet.  It seems to be fine with just one project on her timesheet but she needs them all.  Is it timing out?

    Jennifer,

Thanks for using the newsgroups.  I'd recommend having your user create and save a timesheet with a subset of the projects.  Try incrementally adding the projects to see if you reach a limit or run into a problem with a specific project or cost category.

    Thanks

    Rob

Check to see if one or more of the projects is closed in GP. We have seen this happen many times when the users have built the Timesheets based on a template and it contains a closed project or one they no longer have access to.

I'm actually having a similar issue. My users are having this happens when they attempt to do an advanced find. Bill were you saying this could possible be related to a security privileges issue or what would cause the system to timeout?

    Thanks!

Nick, we found in most cases when a timesheet would not save or a look up failed it was largely the fault that the Project was closed.

Our cases were mainly related to timesheets saved as templates and when a user opened a template, and only entered time for a new project, the system failed the save due to the closed projects that were still part of the template.

Our only solution for this was to delete template and recreate with only open or current objects.

So, I am thinking that if when doing the advanced search, the user might be encountering a similar situation.  I use the tried and true method of reducing the scope of the search and finding out what range of Projects are failing the search- -keep reducing the scope until you get down to the one object that is your problem.

    Hope this helps.
