Thanks for all and thanks for Muhammad Daoud

That's exactly what happened with me in this article: blogs.msdn.com/.../login-performance-issue-for-microsoft-dynamics-gp-10-0-sp5-and-gp-2010-sp1.aspx

    Thanks.

I guess this does not exceed the issue found with SP5 and GP 2010 SP1, the Online Services for Dynamics GP - Triggers GP "Add Command" Hanging Indefinitely and drop thousands of records in the menu master table, it is recorded as a bug in SP5 and you might need to temporary keep running the script to clear the menu master table and uninstall the online services module from your GP installation, find below articles for more information:

Were you asked to restart the SP 5 install after the server restarted?

There was a known issue with TS and windows server 2008 r2 - and GP SP5. There was a windows hotfix issued to resolve this. You could try and service pack up your windows 2008 up to the latest.

You could also restart the SP5 install - I had an issue with an SP5 install before and restarting the SP 5 install resolved it. I actually installed SP5 again. Apparently the upgrade table wasn't updated untill SP 5 restarted after the server reboot.

Also, try disabling the home page for the 'sa' user and the logging back in.

    Ian.

    Hi Muhammad,

What operating systems are you using on the Server and workstations?

    Are you using terminal services?

After you installed the SP - were you prompted to re-start the server?

    Ian.

    Dear Vicky thanks for response

Can't go back to SP 4 because the database was upgrade from SQL server 2005 x64 to SQL server 2008 r2 x64 and the dynamics GP application doesn't work with SQL server 2008 r2 without SP 5, so i hang in the balance, can't continue and can't go back, but with my temporary solution i can work.

go back and try sp4 and two more hot fixes i had the same problem. something is happening with sp5 that delays the log in.

Hi Muhammad, you shouldn't have to run that SQL job in order to resolve your issue - however if it works, then at least you have a work around for the time being - untill we debug what is going on.

The menu master table shoud not need to be emptied. I would start by logging in successfully (using your workaround) and then disable all alerts, Outlook, etc from the home page, then log out and back in again and see does it make any difference.

    Thanks Ian for response

we have a workstations and not working properly same case, in server I have GP application installed and same case, the server performance and specifications (HP ProLiant DL580 G5) high performance

but I delete from DYNAMICS.dbo.SY07110 (Menu Master table) and it's work properly but after users log in to the system the problem return, in SQL profiler I see many records insert and update for each user have log in user (UserID), I create a job in SQL Server 2008 r2 x64 to delete from table SY07110 every 6 hour, is that right way to solve this problem?

    Thanks

    Muhammad
