Posting Setup problem

I have changed the posting setup for Sales.  I’ve chosen “Post through General ledger files” so posting from the AR and AP subledgers goes directly to the GL accounts.  I click save, then close the Posting Setup box.  When I go back into the Posting Setup, my changes are gone and it’s back to the GP default settings   Why do the changes not stick?

    Are you pulling up specific origins?    Are you setting them up as All?   If you look at the specfic origins, I have never seen them NOT save if it was the button hit, only when the window as exited via the X.   I think if you pay attention to the origin part of the window on the upper right, you will figure out your issue.

    Hi Rosanna,

    Posting Setup screen is a confusing one in GP. After initial setup in order to see what's your posting setup you need to selecting individual origin then only you could see correctly. If you select All then it won't give you previous setting you've done.

    Rosanna and Dan are correct.

    'All' is not really a record. It is a window you can use to push down whatever settings you select in the 'All' window to each of the origins. Like they said, you need to go into the individual origins to see what your settings really are.
