how to creating a record in Business Central from Microsoft SQL Server Management Studio

Posted on by 8
Hello everyone,
I have a question about creating a record in Business Central from Microsoft SQL Server Management Studio. I tried to run an INSERT INTO query in SQL, but the data only stored in the SQL database and did not show up in the Business Central form. How can I fix this issue?

Yes, even though it's not recommended, you can still create, modify, delete, and update records in Business Central from Microsoft SQL Server Management Studio. If your data is inserted and not showing in BC, you may need to either restart the service or republish the extension for which the record was inserted using SQL

Although I don't know your purpose of doing this, it is not recommended. But it should work.
As for the reason, I suspect the table is wrong.
It should be noted that you need the operation table, which is preceded by the company name and followed by the extension's app id.
And so far, the data of Table Extension is stored in another table.

Hope this can give you some hints.
    Thanks.
