I have several of the same items that comes from different suppliers. How can I set them up in RMS? so we can track the sales? Also when we get in an item that we have had before from a different supplier all of the history moves with the item. Is there a way the history can remain with the original supplier?

Thank you for your response. I want to keep the sales history under each supplier using the FIFO method. Also I am not using any add-ins. Also is there a way to transfer hundreds of items at one time to another supplier instead of doing it one by one?

Item's can have multiple suppliers added located in the item property tab under "Suppliers" and have each supplier's reorder number attached to it. You can set which supplier is your primary for the product as well, and have costs associated with each supplier for the same product.

Depending on what exact history you're looking for on particular items will dictate how to go about finding that item's history. Having multiple suppliers will effect how the item is treated with certain reporting and purchase order generation. If you let me know what type of item history you're most concerned with, I can help you there.

Also, are you using any RMS add-ins to import products from your suppliers?
