Valid email required when saving a new Account?

There are no events or scripts on the form. The email field is not on the form but users still get the following message when trying to save new accounts. It doesn't happen with existing accounts. I've tried everything I can think of to find why this is happening. Its been months and no solution.

    Thank you Arun, we are running version 9.1.07028. I have double checked that the email field is not hidden on the form and there are no scripts active on any field on the form.

    The email field may be hidden in the form, if not some scripting is injected in the form somewhere..

    On a side note, check if you are in the same CRM version or device/OS/browser specific issue like discussed in the below post:

    community.dynamics.com/.../enter-a-valid-email-address
