Hi ... I have done with my Email notification for PR approval.

But iv got some a problem in setup email notification for PR Reject.

I have seting my reject message in a PR workflow-completed with Lastnote for the receipeint.

but when the PR is rejected by the Approval the system sent me/user an email with default content message from AX system. but not my email message that iv create on the workflow.

Here's the email message notification that AX system sent me :

"The current record has been returned to you, or you have been asked to make a change. Perform any required actions and choose resubmit to resume processing."

Is anyone have an idea to solve my problem ...

Thank you for ur help..

Regard,

Husna

RE: Email notification to the user for Rejected Purchase requisition

    Hi Husna,

unfortunately I don’t have a solution, however it's possible that the problem comes from the fact that when a record is returned there are two notifications sent to the user: one is an Approval returned (coming from the WF) and a second one is the Record Returned (as you can see from the first two lines of the screenshot below).

So, coming to your problem, I think that the custom message you set up in the workflow is only shown for the “Approval returned”, instead for the “Record returned” the AX default message you pasted is shown.

I am sorry I am not able to help you more than this.

    Best,

    Paolo

    Hi Hunsa.

The functionality mentioned above is not primarily to notify people who the item is being returned (Rejected) to. They will receive the standard assignment email notification. This notification that you are setting up is to notify somebody who is potentially not part of the processes that an event occured in WF. You will need to select the workflow user tab and add yourself as a recipient there if you want to receive this notification.

    Hello,

I am having a similar issue.

At a high level I set up the workflow completed notification and then the rejection notification for every step in the workflow.

I keep on receiving the "Record returned" email and I cannot find a way to customise or disable it.

    Thanks for the help.

    Hi Dragos.

The return functionality is really a re-assignment for review to a new person, the person to whom it is reassigned will always get a notification of his new workitem in a similar way to the person who was originally assigned to it.

RE: Email notification to the user for Rejected Purchase requisition

    Hi Jonathan.

I'm trying to set up the notifications to send the below emails:

    1. Workflow level

    - workflow completed

    2. Workflow element level (task or group of tasks)

    - work item instructions (submission);

    - rejection

What happens now with the rejection is that AX sends me 2 emails at the same time.

    1. "The current record has been returned to you, or you have been asked to make a change. Perform any required actions and choose resubmit to resume processing."

    2. My custom text for the rejection email

Do you know if there is a way to disable the first email?

    Thanks-Dragos

    Hi Dragos

As explained above. The rejection option is the same as a return. Therefore the work-item has been assigned to you, hence you receiving the notification #1. You cannot disable this without disabling all assignment emails.

    THanks Jonathan.

I hope I got this right, but still if the rejection option is the same as a return, shouldn't I be receiving only one email?

To put it differently, shouldn't my rejection email take precedence over the return email?

RE: Email notification to the user for Rejected Purchase requisition

    Hi Dragos

I'm not sure how to clarify further. You will always receive an email when you are assigned a workitem. In the case of Reject, Delegate, Return etc you are being assigned the workitem, therefore you are receiving a notification. You cannot really disable this functionality. Furthermore you have set up an additional notification to be alerted when a workitem has been rejected, hence you receiving two mails.

Futhermore there is no "precedence" as you describe it. The two mails serve two different purposes, therefore they will not override each other.
