Workflow triggered by the number of fields selected

Hey guys,

I noticed some weird behavior with workflows and it kind of leaves me confused about the option "Record fields change".

I have a workflow and selected the "Record field change" option to trigger it. I have selected like 10 fields to monitor to trigger on.

Now when I change one of the fields on the record, Dynamics triggers the workflow 10 times instead of just one. This isn't the normal behavior right?

    Problem found.

    It seems that a plugin is updating all the fields, instead of just updating a single field (used to trigger the plugin).

    Hi!

    Can you send your WF configuration screenshots? Also, If you have a custom code in the workflow check for recursion as it may do record updates and thus trigger workflow numerous times.

    Please check whether, within the workflow, you are updating the same field, which you have specified for Record field change.

    Hi,

    That is not normal behavior. Please check if the workflow in-turn is not modifying other fields, causing recursion.
