Purpose of sending or not sending "marketing materials" to contact

(Sorry for the german screenshot)

What is the purpose of this entity "marketing materials"? It cannot be mass-mailing as this is an additional field further below. But what is the meaning of this field which can be selected between "send" or "not send".

    Hi Yannick,

    It maps to contact's Send Marketing Materials field.

    you can find detail in both form editor and the corresponding field.
