Report Writer Calculated Fields - do not appear in lookup

I'm creating a string of calculated fields that are string & conditional and link together. Example:

Calc001 will state:

If customer master = 001, then 001 Else Calc002

Calc002 will state:

If customer master = 002, then 002 Else Calc003

and so on through Calc020

What I have found is if I create a new calculated field then I can see all those created earlier. However, if I go back to an existing calculated field, I can only see those created before it, not any of the new ones.

Needless to say, this makes editing almost impossible.

I created an incident and MS was no help. Has anyone seen this before? I'm hoping you have a solution other than VBA or other coding.

Thanks!

Diana
