Connecting to external API secure port

Posted on by Microsoft Employee

Morning all

I have an issue. I am pushing orders from CRM online to a third party accounts package that has an web API the problem i have is that it is secure but we have had to use port 4433 instead of port 443. I have pointed the plugin to the secured server https://xyz.com:4433/..... but the data is not being sent. I have checked to ensure traffic is allowed to the server from xyz.crm.dymanics.com on port 4433 and it is

any ideas

Regards

Dan

As far as I know, you can only connect to http (80) and https (443) from a sandbox plugin in online. If that's not available, you need to create an intermediate webservice that does the connection for you. An Azure Function would be a good solution to build that intermediate service.
