Hi All,

It would be too much work to let certain GL accounts stand alone in the Account Structure. Is there a way that I can tell AX to let GL account 615 override all the financial dimensions restriction (accept all value) without separate it as 1 line as you see here? Thanks so much!

Hi Kim,

One way is to list your ledger accounts individually in the account structure and define for each and every one what findim combinations are allowed and which ones are not.

Such a setup is, however, 'heavy' in the sense that there is a lot of setup required and if things need to be changed, it will take you a while to update your account structures.

What I could think of as a workaround is setting up your specific ledger account with fixed financial dimensions.

This overwrites everything that has been defined in the account structure form.

To avoid that you mess up the data that are recorded on the other findims (cost centers, etc.) you can probably define some specific 'dummy' findim values that you use for defining those fixed findims on your account.
