Add remit to address details to PM transaction edit list

Posted on by 1,455

I know I can easily add the remit to address ID to the PM transaction edit list, but how can I make sure it adds the Street, City, State and Zip associated with that specific address on that transaction. I am assuming I have to add calculated fields but am a little lost here.

This would also be a nice permanent add to the report, since they can select the remit to address at the time of data entry.

Thanks!

Deb

Hi Deborah:  Your best bet with out-of-the-box GP and this type of report is a custom view that you deploy either in SmartList, Excel or SSRS so that you can pull this type of data in.  You would want to link your Work Tables to the Vendor Address table on the Remit to Address in the work tables and then bring in the physical address fields to the report.  You'd also need to link up the GL00105 and GL00100 tables to get the account numbers if you also want that on the report.

May I ask what is prompting this request?  There may be a better solution for what you are looking for.

    Hi,

Where on the PM edit list would you want the information to print?

    Hi Deborah,

In order to get the specific address listed if the customer has different address ID’s used on various invoices, you would have to link the PM_Payment_Work_TRX table to the PM Transaction OPEN File (PM20000) first.   This file will have the address ID in the VADCDTRO column.  Then you must link this field to the PM Address MSTR (PM00300) table to the specific address (ADRSCODE field).    You would have to open a support case for specific steps, and an engineer can help you within our support guidelines of what we can do in a regular support case, per KB 850201.  Customizing a report for you borderlines a consulting service.
