Dynamics NAV 2013 Journal Tab Document Number Error

Hi,

Although there are documents in the journal tab in the Dynamics 2013 program, the system starts the document number from 000001 as the new record is entered.

What should I do to resolve the issue?

Sedat,

Which Journal are you on that the Document No. = 000001? Is this Sales, Purchase or other document related? The No. Series drive document numbering unless you have allowed for manual entry.

Hi,

Yes, we save documents for purchasing.

YK119-000001 is coming by default. However, you have purchased but documents entered before. It does not continue as a document number.

How can I fix.

Sedat,

From your image, open the Batch to see what No. Series you have set. The second image below is my Default Journal Batch and the No. Series set. Note that if anyone start a journal it will pull in the next number series. If they never Post it, when you try to post it will pop a message it needs to be that unposted next number series. Now if you want to control Document No., set the No. Series to allow Manual Nos.

Sedat,

In the Search box, type No. Series and click the No. Series with the gear icon (3rd one in my pic).

The No. Series page appears. Make sure you are in Edit List mode. Look at the columns. You should see Manual No. It is the 2nd to last column in my pic. If not present, take your mouse and point to the column header name, any column, right-click and select Choose Column. Add the missing column.

After you check the Manual No. box, try again.

Hi Steve,

The relevant fields are marked.

Last Used and Last Used Number fields are blank. I want it to continue from the previous document number entered. However it does not continue.

I open the application from two different users.
1 user shows the last date and the last document number saved as in the picture.
But when I open the other user, the deadline and the last document number do not appear.
I checked the settings you specified. 2 desired users to register in the same journal.

Steve,

I checked and tried the manual number box but it didn't change.

The user whose picture document number is displayed in the upper area and can record.
The user who cannot register because the picture in the lower area is the last document and the date field is not visible. When he wants to record, he gives the registration number from the beginning.
