Bug- filter keep getting wiped after going back to segment list

Hello everyone!

In the new real-time journey, in the segment section, we can apply a filter. If we do that and then click on a segment created in the customer insight source in the list to open it, when you go back to the segment list, your filter is gone.

Very annoying. Does anyone have a workaround?

    Hi there,
I’m seeing the same behaviour you described: in Segments the grid forgets your tweaks (filters, columns) after a refresh or opening and closing a segment, unlike what happens on Contacts. If you keep applying the same filter, so repetitive work, two quick fixes could help:

    • Create a personal view (so the grid opens exactly the way you like every time).
    • Broaden the quick-search fields (if a simple search is all you need).
Below is a 30-second guide to the first option.

Save a personal view in Segments
    1. Notice the asterisk
      1. Filter or add/remove columns.
      2. An * appears after the view name – e.g. “All Segments *”.
      3. The * means the changes are temporary and will vanish on refresh.
    2. Make the view permanent
      1. Click the view name.
      2. Select Save as → Save filters as new view.
      3. Give it a name, e.g. “My DE B2B Segments”, and click Save.
The * disappears – the view is now saved.
    3. Use or set as default
      1. You’ll find the new view under My Views.
      2. Click the three dots (…) next to the view name → Set as default view if you want it to open first.

I hope this gave you an idea on how to maybe resolve your pain point or at least a sufficient work around.

I guess when you apply filters in the view they way you described in the screenshot, they are not saved anywhere, and the URL does not change. When you click on a segment and go back, the view resets to display all segments, meaning your filters are not retained.

Personally, if I apply a filter and want to keep it from being wiped out, I use "STRG" on my keyboard. When clicking on a specific segment, I hold "STRG" at the same time. This opens the segment in a new tab, allowing me to work there while keeping my original tab with the applied filters intact. Once I’m done, I can simply close the new tab without losing my filtered view.
