When in an Organisation , i can scroll down to see the contacts sub section. However the associated contacts email address doesnt show. Can I alter the view so that the emails for the contact automatically show?

Yes you can edit the Contact associate view by navigating to Settings>Customizations>Customize the System>Entities>Contact> views > Contact associated view
Add or remove the columns from this view as per your requirement
If the subgrid in your screenshot is the subgrid for the Contact entity, yes, you can alter the view to add the email column in that view.
Check out which view of the Contact entity is being used in that subgrid and add the email column to that view.
