Where are the Visual Studio extensions for Dynamics GP?

Two weeks ago I installed VS 2019 and added the Microsoft Dynamics GP Item and Projects template. Today I have installed VS 2019 onto another computer and when I go to search for this template it is no where to be found. As per Tim Wappat I have tried going back and forth in the search window but it still does not appear. Has this been taken offline? Is there a way I can transfer it from the computer that does have it?

    Still there as far as I can tell - below is a screenshot of my VS2019 installation with the extensions already installed. The only thing I can think of is, the extensions only get really added to VS once you exit and relaunch the application.

    Being unsuccessful with VS 2019 I installed VS 2017 and the extension is right there as always. One difference is that this in on a W2016 server. My other computers are either W10 or W2012 R2 Server. There is no burning need for VS 2019 so I will use VS 2017. Rebooting did not help and if I tried to run the VSIX_Dynamic_GP_Addin_Templates.vsix when only VS 2019 was installed I received a message about no product exists that is compatible.

    Richard,

    Thanks for the heads up on this. I'll have a check when I get home tonight to ensure that I have not accidentally restricted the permitted platforms for the extension. (I really don't expect to find I have).

    Anyone who has problems with the extension, feel free to reach out to me via website or social media.

    Tim, I wound up going to marketplace.visualstudio.com and downloaded the vsix file from there to use with VS 2017. I know VS2019 just was released and this was my first attempt at using it on a W2016 server. Please keep us posted.

    I just ran into this problem using VS2019. I then tried to download it directly per Richard's approach, but get the following XML page :

    <Error>

     <Code>AccountNotFound</Code>

     <Message>

         The specified account does not exist. RequestId:d79c8664-201e-0066-395e-83d8b8000000 Time:2019-10-15T13:40:23.6506439Z

     </Message>

    </Error>

    I am logged in under my live account. I'm not sure what to make of it.

    Just checked it now, working for me...

    I wonder if this is an issue with your account on Visual Studio Market place? Have you tried clearing cookies and/or another browser? Log out and in?
    I expect so, but worth a go if you have not.

    There are reports in general posts of this being a temporary issue for other people with other extensions:

    It looks like you were right Tim, thanks!  I can't explain it, but I Ctrl+F5'd a few times and managed to download the VSIX file. Odd as the issue was the same in both Firefox and Chrome, but no matter...

    That said, I launched the file and it doesn't appear to support VS2019 16.3.4. I assume this is simply a dot version number pseudo-issue? I'll see if I can modify the correct config file after lunch.

    I noticed that after posting the reply.

    I will have a look later tonight and update the extension as required, give me a few hours.

    I had run into the same issue with VS 2019. There is nothing in VS 2019 that I need so I will stay with VS 2017 for now. Tim, please update when this is corrected.

    I've just released version 3.1 of the extension, that is now ready to run with all Visual Studio versions (Pro/Community/Enterprise) 2015 -> 2019

    Download via the extensions menu in Visual Studio or from the Visual Studio Marketplace
