About two weeks ago we ran into an issue where, when opening the Copilot add-on in Outlook, the only records returned when searching are Accounts, Opportunities, and Leads (which we added months ago). Due to the configuration of Copilot I know that this isn't being caused by an incorrect form or Quick Find view, as that's all locked in place for the Contact table specifically and cannot be updated. Other Contact-related prompts such as creating new Contacts work, so connectivity to the environment is functioning correctly, however I can create a new contact and immediately search for that exact record in the panel and no records are returned.
As an example and usage scenario where this impacts business - I received an email from "Aaron" and wanted to save the email to the applicable Contact record. When searching, no Contacts are returned for "Aaron", even though Opportunities and Accounts are returned. I could assume that there isn't an "Aaron" and create a new Contact record (which would now be a duplicate as I know that a record does exist for them, but this requires going into Dynamics to verify), however even after creating the new Contact, they do not appear in the search and can't be tied to the record unless I expressly create the contact from Copilot's Contacts pane on the sidebar. It probably goes without saying, but this filter issue is total for Contacts in that no Contact records are ever returned, no matter what is put in the Search bar. This effectively means that we cannot look up preexisting Contacts or relate them to emails or summaries in Outlook.
Any ideas?
