Is it possible to create a contact without an account?
I mean, an independent contact, without relations for an account.

Yes. You can create an independent contact.

Yes You can. Account relation is not mandatory
if you need to change this, you will need to open the form editor, double click the field, go to the details tab, click edit.
in the top right should be a drop-down that says business required, change it to optional, save and publish the form and voila, it should not require a relationship anymore
