Multiple locations setup on Dynamics Sl7fp1

Dear All

we have just installed solomon 7 at our HQ, we are using a single database set up. We now need to bring the rest of the organisation via terminal server session to be able to enter their own accounting information. We have decided that we wil remain with the single data base because the other locations all run the same chart of accounts and it is to expensive to go with single databases for each location.

My need is based on the single database, what process do we need to follow in order to bring the other units on without major disruption and in terms of reporting(financial and management) what needs to be set up to ensure that all the information is consolidated accurately, and how can we sets to ensure this is unfact being done.

    You have answered my question exactly  I will go look at the consolidation feature in the GL .

     Thank you for using the Microsoft Dynamics community forums.

     Does your question center around setting up terminal server or setting up Dynamics SL for additional companies?  To add additional companies in order to bring other locations on-line, you can accomplish this through the Multi-Company module.  An unlimited number of companies can share a single database.  The additional companies can be added via the Company Setup screen in the Multi-Company module. 

    The companies financial information can be consolidated into one company by using the Consolidation features in the General Ledger module.
