Hi all,

I am looking for an external backup tool that can backup the complete dynamics environment; apps, entitities, records etc.
Adittionaly it should fulfill the following criteria:

Store backups > 2 months
Restore backups between different Dynamics environments (Sandbox & Production for instance)
Data is stored on EU servers

I first looked at Avepoint, which met criteria 1 and 3. While Skyvia met only 1 and 2.

Does anyone know any alternatives that meet all three criteria?

Is it for on-prem or online D365 environment?

What kind of duration are you looking for with "Store backups > 2 weeks"? Are you looking for something like unlimited retention?

For Dynamics 365 online, backups of production environments with a database and Dynamics 365 applications deployed are retained for up to 28 days. (which is > 2 weeks)

Thanks for your reply Linn, I am using the online environment but I am looking for more retention time than the standard functionality. In the post it should be months* apologies

Have you looked into the following two services? One is based in Denmark and another in UK (but they might offer the service hosted in EU)

Hello Barl,

Not sure about your detailed requirements, but here are a few useful resources:

Environment backups are indeed stored only for 28 days for production environments, and 7 days for sandbox environments.

To retain data longer in a separate location, you can investigate the "Export to Data Lake" feature:
