Solution files not opening

I am currently working on a solution file and this morning I went to open it and I am getting the message below. No error code nothing just the file will not open. Tried other solution files and same situation. This is just in our UAT environment, Prod works fine. I had a look to see if any issues but could not find anything at the time of writing this post and I will go and keep searching once I have posted.
