we used a simple domain account to restart the nav service in 2009 but failed  , Is it any other permission setting necessary?

and in 2015 , I meet same issue. I use a domain admin user to start the service , it is ok. But using a normal domain user, it failed.

nav 2009  nav service start error

nav 2015 log error:

The service account has insufficient privileges to register service principal names in Active Directory.

you do not need a domain admin user. it's in general no good idea to use such a user account as service account, because of security issues. you need a domain account with permission "run as service".

You need to provide local machine admin rights to the user account you are using for the service.

If you want to use a domain user to run NAV service you need first to provisioning it.

To provisioning an account you must :

    Provisioning a Domain User Account

    • Enable the account to log in as a service

    • Enable the account to register an SPN on itself

    • Give the account necessary database privileges in SQL Server

More details you can find in :

    msdn.microsoft.com/.../hh166150(v=nav.70).aspx

Root cause is found. thanks all guys' help.

all your suggestion is good for me , but the root cause is  the  service NetTcpPortSharing.  after disable it , the nav service is running normally.
