How to Preserve Timestamp during file upload in Sharepoint

Hi Guys,

We are using Sharepoint 2013

I want to know how to preserve Timestamp when user upload file from local system to Sharepoint.

For Ex: A File is created on "1-april-2015" and the user is uploading on the date "20-april-2015". In the Sharepoint, The created date should be "1-april-2015" not the uploaded date of the file.

Tell me what are the possible way to achieve this? (ex : asp.net, etc)

    Hi SaravanaKumar

    unfortunately that is not possible. SharePoint always fills the datecreated with the datetime the file was added to SharePoint. If you want to achieve the functionality you described, you'll have to add an additional field in your SharePoint document library and send the Original create date of the file as meta data along with the document.
