I was wondering if I can change the default PV (Inventory_All) for Inventory ID in Inventory Status Inquiry (10.220.00) to the PV (DMG_Inventory_Sales) used in Sales Order Entry (40.100.00)

I have been trying with no luck.  Can you not remove the default PV from a screen?Reasoning is the sales order screen filters out Inactive skus, which is what we would like. But the Inventory Items (10.250.00) and Status Inquiry screen both use PV (Inventory_All) so I don't want to filter that pv.

Thanks for any thoughts.

    You cannot change the PV in a Standard SL screen.  You can modify the PV by changing the underlying stored procedure and the PVRec entry, but you cannot change which PV is called.  The PV is actually written in the Source Code.

    Can you change the default PV In the vendor PV most of my clients want to lookup by name.

    In SL 2015, the PV Lookups allow for the ability to search for matches by values other than the Key field (e.g. VendID).  You can change the option to search by Vendor Name.

    In prior versions, you can click on the column heading you want to search by, enter some characters, and it will take you to the closest match.

    In all cases, however, the default (first) field in the PV list needs to be the Key field in the table being searched, since that is what will be populated in the field when selected.

    i can't find it at this moment, but there is a voting page to MS to fix this.

    currently its locked to the vendor ID.
