CRM 2016 Advanced Find On Date Filter

Posted on by

Hi.  I had a user that requested what initially seemed like a single thing.

I have a user that wants to create a view that shows all of the opportunities that are expected to close after a year from the current date.  In other words they do not want to have that view include any opportunities that are expected to closed in the next 12 months.  They do not want to manually have to do enter in a specific date.

Basically I would like something like:

Close Date Next X Years 10
"And" Close Date NOT X Years 1

Can this be done with out of the box CRM functionality without JavaScript or .Net code?

Thank you.

Same idea just implemented slightly differently: create a new date field and use a workflow to set it on the update of the estimated close date(set it to 12 months before estimated close). For the filter you can use next x months condition on that field, just set x to something big like 100.

    Rick,

    Try to do following:

    1. Create a calculated whole number field and use formula DIFFINYEARS between Close Date and NOW - technet.microsoft.com/.../dn832103.aspx

    2. Use this field in advanced find with greater than 1 filter.

I haven't tried it but it worth to look at.
