Hello ! I'm looking to develop an extension for my product and publish it in Appsource and integrate with dynamics 365 .

1. Can i use Javascript /React kind of frameworks to develop the extension , If yes . How to go about it ?

2. how can i access the data from the Dynamics 365 ? what is the API endpoint i can use to get the  data ?

Any blogs on ' How to develop code for extension ' would be helpful . Thanks

    Hi,

I am really not an expert on Business Central Connect App so I can not comment on that.

Hi Bipin ! Thanks for the reply .  If I'm not wrong ,

    1. I can get the dynamics data from the API endpoint

    2. With the data i can create an app using any of my desired framework

    3. Then , Publish .

I came across this link on Connect APP to develop third party extensions and publish in appsource https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/dynamics365/business-central/dev-itpro/developer/devenv-develop-connect-apps#:~:text=On%20the%20API%20permissions%20page,right%20permission%20is%20checked%3A%20Financials.

what is the difference between a connect App and using solutions ( which you have mentioned )in dynamics CRM

    Hi,

You can get the Web api endpoint by navigating to settings->Customization->Developer Resources

You can also login to make.powerapps.com and click on settings then Developer Resources to get api endpoint -

You will need to register an app in azure to interact with web api -
