Updating existing barcodes using Data Management

I am trying to update UOM on a specific set of barcodes. Currently, Item Barcode V3 entity can only be used to create new barcodes and not update the barcodes. It returns a message to user Item Barcode association entity. When I use, Item Barcode association entity to upload the changes, it fails in Staging with duplicate records even though I do not have any duplicate data in the file. Item barcode Association association entity is actually mapped to a table called ECORESPRODUCTBARCODEASSOCIATION which is empty always.

Error Message in Staging : Failed to insert record into staging table. The keys of the record are ASSOCIATIONID, DEFINITIONGROUP, EXECUTIONID, PARTITION. Duplicate records must be removed from the file prior to import.-The duplicate key value is (5637144576, Update Barcode, Update Barcode-2022-01-12T22:13:46-A2FBC3D3AAAA49D0A93EC1EA8FB50B3C, )

Has anyone been able to make this work? How do you usually bulk update barcodes into the system?

Data entity have more key fields to identify duplicates that table.

Entity Keys are, these fields must be unique for import to match proper invent dimensions.

Found the solution for the issue. I was missing a new feature management activation to enable the improvement to the entity. However, it dint populate the association ID for the existing barcodes as it says. Since it was a test system, i deleted and reuploaded all the barcodes which got created with the association IDs. I then exported the item barcode association entity and tested import which successfully updated the barcode.

For anyone having this issue in a production environment where you can't just delete all of the barcodes, you can also re-enable the older version of the item barcodes data entity (V2) by unchecking the "obsolete" field on the data entities form and then use it to update existing barcodes.
