Can't add image to entity

Greetings.

I'm currently training to become a CRM developer. I've just started out half a month ago, so apologies if this question may seem dumb (or the thread is posted in the wrong forum).
Currently I am looking at the customization and configuration part, but I've ran into a problem I can't seem to figure out - adding images to entities.
I have created a custom entity where I also created a field for image (the datatype is set to Image). I have set this image-field as the primary image in the entity definition, but when trying to check the 'Show image in the form' checkbox, under the main Information form's 'Form Properties', this line/checkbox is greyed out.

After numerous google searches I am confident that I have done everything correct up till now, but I still can't figure out why the checkbox for showing the image in the form is greyed out.

Have anyone else ran into this problem or can point me in the right direction of how to solve this?

I don't think that does what you think it does. If you want a picture of the "interior" of your "coffee shop" on the form, then I assume you want it on the form and not in the header next to the name. In that case, all you need to do is add the field "interior" to the form wherever you want it and publish your changes.

But, if you really do want the image at the top by the name, I suggest publishing your changes to see if that enables the checkbox.

Thank you for the quick reply cchannon.

I'm currently following Amber Isrealsen's customization and configuration course on pluralsight, hence the different names - they don't have a specific meaning really, could just be 'coffeShopImage', 'entityImage' or simply 'image'.

I'm aware that the image I'm trying to implement is supposed to go by the specific coffee shops name, so it should show their logo or just an image of the shops exterior or so. I just can't seem to find a way around to get to enable the checkbox. I've saved a couple times, published a couple times, closed and opened my browser..

I am using a trail version of dynamics 365, if that makes any difference? It shouldn't though, since my user is an system administrator..

At least I will remember exactly how to do this, when needed, after all the troubleshooting of how to fix it. Even though it doesn't work at the moment. :)

If anyone has a fix of enabling the checkbox it will be greatly appreciated!

some Entity has this feature Enabled.

Hi Marius,

Your steps should be all correct.

Is your Dynamics 365 online version?

I tested it in my online environment and also encountered your issue.

The reason for it might be that "Show image in the form" only works for rendering entity image in legacy web client,

however, due to legacy web client will be deprecated in Oct this year, so the option is set to "greyed out", we will no longer working with old UI in the future.

Even if the option is greyed out, but once we have set a image field to Primary Image property, the entity image will still display in UCI.
