ODBC Creation + VM Horizon

Good Day

Anyone using VM Horizon + Dynamics SL 2011 SP 2? We currently have an issue in VM Horizon where ODBC connection isn't being created for FRx after a report is generated in SL. It works fine on the server but not on VM Horizon. Leading us to believe it's security/permissions related but not sure where it might be coming from. Any thoughts or ideas appreciated.

    Renee,

    If the SL report runs successfully, then the ODBC creation was successful at least for the duration of the report run.

    It sounds like SL and FRx are not being run on the same profile, or the User DSN info is being discarded. I think this is where I'd poke around next.

    Could you try creating a System DSN on the server using the same connection information that the User DSN is set up with and delete the User DSN.

    Hi Butch,

    Thanks. I tested on what is referred to as the RDS server where both SL & FRx reside and was successful and the ODBC carried forward to VM Horizon. So I would concur with what you're saying. I've left it back in our infrastructure to figure out how to resolve as it does appear it is discarding the information or not being run on the same profile.  Thanks again for your insight as always.
