Does anyone know what the Database Update button does?

The database update installs the PVRec, report controls and error messages after you do a database upgrade.
Ok so I can run this on a production database and it would not erase my data right?
Correct. This process only affects those 3 tables.

Sorry, so is it recommended to run this after i restore a copy of my live to a test database?
If you are just restoring a copy of your live database to the test database then you should not have to run tis process because the tables affected are already populated. However, running it again would not hurt anything.
